PERFECT SCORE! - “The 20th Anniversary of the graduating class of 1989”

Batch ’89 proved that 20 long years of separation after graduation, they still feel close to each other. Their friendship didn’t fade.
“Perfect Score” was the theme of the recent reunion of batch ’89. It was held last December 20, 2009 at the Party Avenue Bar and Resto at Timog Q.C.
Last December 17, 2009, two of the panel of judges in the Palig-Sayawan competition. Renato Custodio and Ruby Sanson were members of the batch.
Mr. Custodio, in his QCA days, actively participated in many activities. His teachers didn’t see his interest in writing but claimed that skill was enhanced during his stay in QCA. He took up nursing and continued writing for comics and pocket books until he was assigned to be the script writer in various films and television shows. Today, he is the episode writer of some of GMA 7’s telenovelas like Darna and Full Haus. He was recently assigned to join the production staff of Shake Rattle and Roll 11.
Ms. Sanson was also an active student during her high school days. She has a talent in dancing. She took up Business Management and made it a reality, she is now a business woman and mother of four kids, but she still manages to stay in touch with her batch mates.
Teachers in QCA described batch ’89 as a very cohesive group. “Batch ’89 was one of the active classes during their four year stay in QCA. They are close to each other. They observe yearly reunions. After their graduation in 1989, they have remained in contact with one another. They are also QCA’s ambassadors of goodwill. The batch donated relief goods to QCA students who were victim of typhoon Ondoy according to Mrs. Carmelita S. Ongoco. |
