To maintain agreeable relations between parents and the school, Quezon City Academy regularly holds orientations and parenting sessions. The second parenting session for this school year was held last November 6 at the school’s roof deck.
Mrs. Vivien Riano, principal, together with the year level coordinators, discussed the performance of the students during the second quarter. Mr. Ruben Agustin and Ms.Waywen Balneg, both MAPEH teachers, gave an introduction to prohibited drugs, its causes, effects and penalties, for the awareness of both parents and students.
Afterwards, the session had an open forum to give opportunity for the parents, teachers and students to speak and give opinions. Top ten honor students of each year level, together with their parents, received certificates of recognition by their year level coordinators. There was also an awarding of outstanding student government officials.
The session was brightened with the presence of the guest speaker, Br. Michael Angelo Lobrin who inspired and awed his audience. Afterwards, the homeroom advisers met the parents for a discussion on section development needs and the distribution of report cards.
