Budgets of QCA’s departments and bureaus caught the attention of Senate and school officials last August 4 held at Alvendia Hall from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The budget hearing was noted by two quasi-independent bodies namely the budget commission and the commission on audit directed by Chairman Angelica Gabagat and Chairman Gabriel Bacani, both from IV-Abad Santos guided by Mrs. Avelina Tuvera, their respective adviser.
The secretaries and directors presented their proposals to Mrs. Vivien R. Riano, the principal and Miss Florentina Gonzales, the school treasurer and the elected senators.
The Department of Education received the highest budget with a total of P139,570.75.
The Department of Human Welfare got P4,041.00 while the Department of Media Affairs acquired P2,381.00. The Department of Environment, Health and Sanitation have P530.00 and the Department of Socio-Civic Affairs contracted P2,574.80.
The Department of Peace, Order and Safety bagged P3,986.00; Pabinhian of Non-Student Government Organization (NSGO) got P7,960.00 while the Department of Cultural Development has their proposal on hold.
The total Student Government budget for the school year 2011-2012 is P139,785.47.
“At first, we met problems about dealing with the proposed budgets but then again, it ends successfully and with a satisfying look”, CSG Pres. Timothy Castillon stated.
